Is it just me or is the whole post-Arctic Monkeys Brit Rock thing over? It's not just me. The Rakes were entertaining -- an entertaining live band. I need to listen to that new album, but considering that the second one underwhelmed me (though "The World Was A Mess..." is a fine gem of a song), my expectations aren't that high.

The Rakes at Bowery Ballroom
Is it just me or is the whole post-Arctic Monkeys Brit Rock thing over? It's not just me. The Rakes were entertaining -- an entertaining live band. I need to listen to that new album, but considering that the second one underwhelmed me (though "The World Was A Mess..." is a fine gem of a song), my expectations aren't that high.
