Moogfest 2012 in Asheville, NC

Justice, launching Moogfest 2012 with a kick-off concert

Asheville has a special place in my heart, and I try my best to visit whenever I can, especially during the annual Moogfest music festival over Halloween weekend. Though I was a little bit disappointed that the festival was scaled back (two official days this year versus last year's three days and additional venues), I did see some fantastic bands and take a fascinating tour of the Moog Factory, where I was able to catch an exclusive Sound Lab recording (see below).

Orbital at the U.S. Cellular Center

I was delighted to photograph Moogfest for Brooklyn Vegan yet again and I look forward to next year. For my ENTIRE photo coverage, visit these links for photos from the Justice kick-off concert, Day 1, and Day 2.

Garbage at Webster Hall

And finally, Garbage.
I haven't really been updating this ye olde Blogger, but I feel like I should update this page with at least one image from each concert where I've taken photos. Hence, this bombardment of photos.
More photos on House List (plus a review by my pal Alena!).

Caveman / Frankie Rose at Music Hall of Williamsburg

The always haunting Frankie Rose, co-headlining with Caveman.

M83 at Terminal 5

It was great to see M83 one last time on this tour (the last time I saw them was during Moogfest last Halloween weekend). More photos on House List, as usual.

Matthew Dear at Bowery Ballroom

Matthew Dear
They were so good! I caught them at Moog Fest last Halloween, so I was very psyched to see them again (it is much more pleasant seeing them at the Ballroom rather than at a freezing outdoor stage on a brisk October morning). More photos at House List.

The Kills at Terminal 5

I finally got to photograph the Kills. I've seen them in concert and I've photographed Allison Mosshart (my spirit animal and style icon) before with the Dead Weather, but I've never shot the Kills! Take a peep at a couple more photos on House List.

Girls at Terminal 5

And the first show of the year...

Girls
Girls at Terminal 5! I was very impressed with the show. I didn't think the band would be able to fill out a big stage like Terminal 5, but they did! More photos at House List with words by Aaron Stein.
